چکیده
Rice (Oryza sativa L.), as a cereal grain, is the most widely consumed staple food for large part of world’s human population, especially in Asia and Africa. production often subjected to several biotic abiotic stresses. sheath blight one destructive diseases causing economic losses rice yields affecting quality worldwide. Twenty soil samples were collected from rhizosphere crop different regions Northern Karnataka. Trichoderma spp. isolated rhizospheric samples. The antagonistic potential was studied using dual culture technique. Among twenty strains highest inhibition (>50%) recorded nine which ranged 54.20 65.10 per cent. harzianum seed germination (100%), root length (13.73 cm), shoot (8.64 cm) seedling vigour index. In pot experiment, significantly improved growth parameters such length, number tillers plant. treatments, treatment + dipping foliar spray with T. strain highly effective increasing index at 30, 60 90 days after sowing. This found inhibiting pathogen promoting plants.

Antagonistic action of indigenous Streptococcus mutans strains.
Dental caries is an infectious process which ultimately destroys the tooth. Streptococcus mutans is considered to be the main agent causing this disease. If microorganisms with antagonistic action on S. mutans were found, they might provide a way of avoiding or controlling the disease. Within the framework of the Oral Microbial Ecology approach, the aim of this project was to identify S. mutans...
متن کاملPotential use of Iranian rhizobial strains as plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) and effects of selected strains on growth characteristics of wheat, corn and alfalfa
Abstract Many agricultural researches have been performed to improve soil productivity. Nitrogen (N) and Phosphorus (P) are essential elements which are utilized by the plants in large amounts. Phosphorus can be provided by applying chemical fertilizers. Microorganisms convert insoluble phosphate to the soluble form and some bacteria such as rhizobacteria play an important role in this proces...

Plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria (PGPR) are advantageous bacteria that inhabit around plant roots and enhance plant growth by a wide variety of direct and indirect mechanisms. Utilization of PGPR is now gradually increasing in agriculture and offers an attractive way to replace chemical fertilizers, pesticides, and supplements. In our present study six endospore forming bacterial isolates t...
